The Great Leaving

Heavy rains yesterday, today and into tomorrow will trigger the "great leaving".  Trees will shed their leaves at a rapid rate and all of a sudden the bare bones of the landscape will be revealed.  It will also mean the start of hunting season which I dread every year.  Still no frost but then things aren't as they were in many respects.  The wheel of the year keeps turning.
