Koi and Rainbow
The rain stopped. The wind stopped. As much as I love getting much-needed rain, it was nice to have some sunshine. Also, the clouds that were north of here were amazing. I had to drop off a package at the post office, so I packed up my Nikon into my backpack and headed off. Last week, on a similarly amazing cloud day, I went to the Marina WITHOUT my Nikon and regretted it as a long lens was necessary to get decent photos. On my way home that day, I saw a particular photo I wished I'd had the camera for, so today, I thought the chances were good a similar thing would happen. So, after the post office, I went to Alamo Square for its view of downtown, and, I hoped a background of cool clouds. But no... nothing special.
I've been scanning old 35mm negatives the last couple of days to archive them, so I continued to do that when I got home. This meant pulling out all of my packets of photos I never put into albums (as well as hundreds of loose photos) trying to decide what I wanted to scan, but my scanner is acting up, making an already tedious process even more tedious. Also... the software isn't performing to my expectations. So... what do you do when nothing seems to be going right? Take a nap. Yeah. I took a two-hour nap.
