Green elves

A long and somewhat boring drive home with few opportunities for blips, so here instead is a photo of one of the most colourful fungi I found in the Berkshire woods yesterday. It's a Green Elf Cup, Chlorociboria aeruginascens, noted for the emerald colour of the fruiting bodies and for the green staining of wood caused by the fungus which is highly prized and used in decorative woodworking.
