D40 - you have been such a faithful friend

I do not really need to get rid of my old camera but at the same time, I do not really have any major justification for keeping it.

So I guess I'm a pretty emotional kind of guy, I'll shed a tear at the end of Star Wars, listening to the Natural Four will produce a lump in my throat therefore it is hardly surprising that I feel more attached to this camera than most possessions I have.

I have taken thousands of photos with it over the last 6 years and apart from one gut wrenching moment when I thought it was dead it has worked tirelessly.

Replaced by an ability to record moving pictures, something which unfortunately I haven't quite found the time to do as yet, but hey I will do sometime soon, it is time to move on.

Tomorrow it will be goodbye.
