First Portrait.....

This afternoon & early evening was spent with friends who I've not seen for months. My friends husband, a wonderful geek who I can spend hours talking to about IT, science & astronomy showed me his 'kit' today....

..... a Nikon something or other & his new tripod! I must admit I swooned at the sight!!!!

Anyhow, this is Neil & this is the very first time I've attempted to shoot a portrait using the Canon 350D. In fact, it's the very first time I've attempted to shoot a portrait of any kind on any camera come to that.

Think I've surprised myself as I'm quite pleased with the result.... However, you can be the judge of that!!!!
