In the frame

After a (very very late but enjoyable) night I was up early for the family service at church. Home to help with a late breakfast then had a quietish morning. In the afternoon with our friends we went to the Royal Botanic gardens. Several areas closed off around the glasshouse areas but still had plenty of walks to do.

After the heavy lunchtime rain it turned into a lovely almost warm autumnal day with, as ever, great views of the city skyline. However, the new hotel spiral looked even more intrusive from this angle.

The castle remained impressive and at some points was well framed by the trees and the changing leaves.
