End of the day

Finished up work today until a week on Monday. Could not wait to get out of the place. It's been a long time since I've had a break. I feel like I need this one.

After tea I took the boys out for a wee wander up towards Fa'side castle. The air and the land felt struggling for the season; chill and thin, like butter scraped over too much bread*. In many ways it's been a trying first quarter of the year.
