Putting The Lake in Finlake

It was another very wet morning for the last day of our holiday so we had a lazy one around the lodge, apart from Tess & I nipping out to buy something for dinner.

After lunch we had a final swim in the pool and by the time we'd finished the sky had cleared so we went for a walk through the woods and around the lake which gives the resort its name. The walk was memorable for Kate leading us on a very muddy and slippery downhill route through the trees which she insisted lead to the proper footpath but turned out to lead us to an even muddier stream! We assured Sophie as we slipped and slid our way back up the hill that we were having a proper adventure but I'm not sure she was convinced!
