Morning view

Last night's dinner was more than disappointing - awful in fact - but the company was good, although the drink was expensive. Didn't stop me sitting up till 1 a.m., talking and watching the snow fall.

I woke up this morning to the sun shining, and when I opened the curtains it was to a snowy scene down towards the Palace and the Park. the view from the 4th floor of the east side of the Carlton is amazing - all the way across the bay towards North Berwick with the Berwick Law above it. On the left, Arthur's Seat and the Crags.

I phoned KL for a chat with #1 son who is 31 today. 31! He's fine, that's good.

Breakfast was better than dinner and then to the office for various meetings and tidying up stuff before the start of the holidays. And some good news, colleague N will be a dad in September.

I'm looking forward to four days off and maybe some better weather. Last year we had that heatwave.
