A sunny moment on an autumnal day , bare tree roots providing comfortable seating as well as places to rest flasks and the like .
The day was mainly dry and warm with intermittent showers and the walk a 6 mile circular root that transformed into a twelve and a half mile walk due to navigation of fields of frisky bullocks who were incredibly excited and interested in our approach , such was their delight that one managed to jump a barbed wire fence in order to join us !
We had walked from the campsite and returned just as day was fading into night.
It was a pleasant route with lots of interest and we rounded off our adventures with an evening of wine around a campfire , we didn’t sing any campfire songs though , maybe next time !
