A change of plan

We found this horse and rider during the afternoon walk …..don’t ask…..I’ve no idea!!!! 

R and S returned from Canada over night and the plan was to collect them from Newark this evening. We headed to their house at lunchtime to check things and turn on the heating. Whilst we were on the way we got a message to say that they were getting the train that would arrive at 2.30!!! Landed, through passport control and retrieved bags in under 45 minutes. Incredible!!!

That gave us 30 mins to spare, before going straight to the station. We collected two very tired souls and dropped them off at home, before we headed to our home.

They had a rest, before doing some food shopping and coming over to collect Olive and her luggage. 

So instead of heading out at 8pm for an hour’s round trip we are having normally timed dinner. It’s good to have them home.
