It’s only relatively recently that I have appreciated the taste of mushrooms, but with so many varieties on sale at the moment, I have started incorporating them into all my vegetable stews and soups. I like the way they almost feel meaty when cooked. The ones in the blip were destined for a soup which has no name but closely resembles a stew as my spoon can stand upright in it.
Two days ago there was hail in Cullen and snow on the A9 while today it’s positively balmy leaving me feeling too hot as I walked home from town dressed in winter gear. It appears to be going to be even warmer during the week, but wet too.
