Sable

Most people seem to be shattered and desperate for bed by 9pm here, myself included. It’s a far cry from my city life where at 1am I am usually starting down a rabbit warren of pointless YouTube videos. After a few days here I slip in the routine with ease, and it’s enjoyable.

It’s more grounding being connected to project partners and I am more productive due to long office hours, but also because I can be very selective about which calls I join. The connection isn’t great but I can skip those that are more waffly and less action-focused. I might import this tactic to urban life too.

Another major plus is being close to wildlife, such as these beautiful sable antelope.
