Unisa
I was invited to Unisa for the launch of “A Holistic Overview towards its Biomimicry for Application in Industrial Effluent Bioremediat” by Dr Grace, and Prof Matambo.
They are part of the research team that we are working with on renewable energy and environmental projects. The book is now freely available and references the students that worked with them to develop the “Wetland Prototype for Effective Industrial Wastewater Bioremediation” as you can here.
Brilliant work by young brilliant people who explained their work so well that even I could understand it. Solar powered, the toxic water goes through a variety of stages with different organic matter, plants, and microorganisms. The clean water is then pumped into hydroponics that grow leaf veg for use in the canteen.
The students hope this model will be replicated commercially and that’s where we come in, to introduce it to our corporate clients.
An outing with Shiv, and a catch up with E&D who were in Blyth with Sandra and Patrick finished off a pretty great Friday.
