The last rose of summer

This is the only rose left flowering in the garden today.  It is rather beautiful!

It has been a lovely bright and sunny day but quite cold.  I was a lady who lunches today, and had a fine time with nice food and good chat.  Then I met up with the HG and we did our weekly shopping.  Nice to have the fridge full again, it was getting rather depleted.
