Walk the chalk
I promised the spaniel an adventure today. We went to Seaford and walked up over Seaford Head and then down to the sea at Hope Gap. The tide was just turning so we were able to walk out across that favourite feature of geography teachers - the wave cut platform - to get this view of the famous Seven Sisters chalk cliffs (I can hear Mr Williams, my geography teacher, saying 'note the hanging valleys'). Then it was round to Cuckmere Haven and up along the river to Alfriston before circling back over the Downs to our starting point. A short two hour walk in the late afternoon and that should be it for today.
