The Knot Grass

I went for a walk to the local nature reserve today with my friend Josie, we have decided to walk there once a month, to get out fer a walk and to observe the reserve and what it has to offer through the changing seasons.
I didn't take my camera.
I did however find this lovely Knot Grass larva searching for a pupation site, so I brought him home with me for a photo shoot. I hasten to add this is a common species which I also find in my garden, I would not have moved him had this not been the case.
I think this rather attractive caterpillar is the one I have seen most enquiries about this year, they seem to be doing quite well.
