Serenading
This is the Grey Butcherbird whose territory I live in. To those that it knows, it leaves alone but to strangers it will swoop and peck at them. It has never swooped on me or the hounds. On special occasions like today, it will serenade with it's gorgeous call. We had a little duet for a while as it sat in the crab apple. The neighbours will think I am crazy warbling away with it. Perhaps it was enjoying the honeysuckle perfume and late afternoon sun but it sang to me for about 5 minutes before junior (it looks to be a juvenile and not the missus) arrived and they went off for drinks at the local pub (well it is Friday isn't it).
Speaking of which, have a great weekend blipmates.
