WI meeting

I agreed to attend the Westmorland WI annual meeting and today was the day. I must have been a WI member for around 10 years so I thought it was about time. On the whole it was an interesting meeting and I am glad I went. It was a good turnout of members from the different WI’s in the region. We had a really interesting speech from a lady involved in work with girls in India. She supports the Sri Sai Vidyarthi School in Secunderabad in India. An amazing lady who is totally committed to educating girls and getting them a future. She was so good that she made the second speaker, a cast member from the Archers, seem positively lightweight, but the Archers fans (which I an not) loved it.
A surprisingly interesting day.
