A touch of normal
An important new script from an LA based writer came in overnight and I read it on the train up to London and it’s good so we’ve got it over to the Broadcaster. Met up with our Head of Development, first in the office and then we went out to lunch together for a strategy chat. And a career chat for her for some of it.
In the evening I met up with H and we went to see Caryl Churchill’s short play at the Court called What If If Only. It was really short, only twenty minutes and was about grief and facing unknown futures. But it was funny, intense, surreal and more in all that time. Caryl’s been increasingly writing Short Plays, rather like short stories. Dinner afterwards at Cafe Colbert and home on the slow train watching downloaded tv shows. Woody is back from his two overnights at the vets but still very below parr.
