Kincraig Point ,Earlsferry
We drove along to Earlsferry, and parked at Chapel Ness today. I didn`t realise how cold and windy it was until we got out of the car. It was bracing. Very cold and windy, although bright and sunny. I had plenty clothes on including gloves, but no hat. Still, I survived!
We walked around the rocks, then the edge of the golf course until we reached the beach. From there we headed along to the foot of Kincraig Point where I planned to climb up the coastal path to the top. To where I was last week photographing the old war defences. But, when I looked up I changed my mind. It`s pretty steep and we would just have to come down again the same way to get back to the car.
So we turned around and made our way back.
When we were driving back through Elie I thought I would just stop at the bakers for something nice to have with my cuppa. When I got to the door of the bakers it was closed. They now close in the afternoons because, with so few permanent residents in the town, it`s not worth their while to stay open. Such a shame. It can be a bit like a ghost town in the winter.
So, home again with no cake. I spent the afternoon catching up with emails and reading. I`m really starting to panic now as I have less than twenty pages left in my book. What will I read next? Will I enjoy it? Will it be as good as this?
Grant phoned for a chat on the way home from work. He`s going up to Bruce`s to fit a wood burning stove in his garage this weekend, and wondered if I wanted to go with him. I said I will let him know. I was thinking about going up this weekend in any case, and it would save me four hours driving, but he will be leaving early and coming home late and I just don`t know if I feel able for that at the moment.
Anyway, I will have a think about it.
