Kites

We're feeling quite end of the week.  We go away tomorrow for a long weekend and I fear that I'll be lucky to get spelling tests done given the enthusiasm for going away.  We did get some work done this morning, the eldest is having two sets of spellings and sounds each week, which is super hard work for him, but his attitude about it is amazing and he is desperate to catch up. We spent some time just the two of us going through things and he was fantastic. 

We took advantage of living next to windy fields and got the kits out - we think we achieved a personal best of having one of them fly about 20 - 25 metres, they loved it. 

Today I'm grateful for: 
Energy levels coming back and getting up and out for an hour's walk with the dog first thing 
Kite-flying fun
A teams call with their class teacher to see how they are doing with their week cooped up at home.
