Night sky

I started the day at 6am in the front garden under a clear sky photographing the moon, it was very cold! As usual my attempts were rubbish, I don’t know if I need some training or a new camera but all I get is a black sky and a white circle, no detail on the moon at all. 
I was outside again at 6pm for the beautiful coloured sunset, this time I was happy with the result!
