Iconic Autumn

One of the earliest signs of Autumn is the appearance of the berries on the Rowan. Each year I look with pleasure at the simple, pure colours of the bight red berries and soft green leaves against a cloudless bright blue sky. 
And the bonus is, unlike the blackberries and sloes, we don’t gather them - so the birds can enjoy them through the winter.
