Abstract Thursday: Shadows

Ingeborg's optional theme for today's AT challenge is "shadows".

Yesterday we started on a little trip round the country visiting friends and relatives, but we've stopped off in my Editor's old home town of Macclesfield to revisit old haunts. This morning we visited the Garden of Remembrance at St Paul's Church to tidy up the memorial stones of several of her family relatives and to add some new flowers: while she was attending to this I took this photo of the shadows created by the church gates. The church has a special significance to us as we were married there just over 40 years ago - and we walked through those gates afterwards while being showered with confetti!

This afternoon the weather was beautiful so we had one of our favourite local walks (over The Hollins) where we spotted a multitude of little toadstools - hence the extra photo. We also noticed that the lambs we photographed for my blip back in April are much bigger now!
