Soft and Gentle

A little play with a small bush chrysanthemum I bought yesterday - it was just right for using the Velvet 56 wide open.  I am getting better with this lens - the trick is to get focus at a narrow aperture and then widen it out.  The light was good so handholding better than using a tripod for freedom of movement plus the ability to move in and out for the best focus.  Gorgeous little flowers so maybe a macro another day.
