Beauty is all around us.

The Old Copper Beech Tree in Turrets Garden.

The Feast Day of St. Hilarion.

It is Apple Day and a group called Common Ground many years ago, started apple related events and activities to celebrate the diversity of wonderful apples grown in the United Kingdom. My favourite apple is Pink Lady and one called Discovery which is delicious and pink inside. Galas are great too and any of the heritage variety. I prefer apple juice to cider, but both have their place in our apple tradition.

As you can see from today's photo, we have a beautiful blue skied sunny yet very cold start to the day.  It was 5c earlier on. It is M's funeral service at 1pm, so I will be praying the Holy Mass at home for his soul and thinking of all the family and friends who will be there.
My husband is going for an aneurism scan in Blackburn, as this is now offered to men of his age group.
I hope you all find plenty of Autumnal shots and have a good  Apple Day blip friends.
