Picnic time

We are used to having picnics outdoors most weeks but the biting wind and almost constant snow made us feel very pleased later to find a lovely warm coffee shop. Our attempts to walk alongside this reservoir in Northumberland were abandoned due to each step being too difficult in about 10 inches of snow. Our thoughts were of all those who have had no refuge in a warm well lit home due to the massive power cuts in the west inspite of the tremendous efforts in dreadful conditions by the repairmen.
