Started the day by packing up the things which were on the ‘worktop’ in the kitchen into a couple of crates. Builders then carried everything out either into the hall or under a gazebo in the garden. We also set up a camping table in the sitting room with microwave kettle and a few mugs. Then the old ceiling came down. It was a really dirty job but they cleaned up afterwards and put the things back that I asked, but have decided to carry on with microwave etc in sitting room for a few days. Ordered some bathroom stuff, went to Sa’s for coffee and a catch-up, collected some lights and had a mooch around Dunelm (unsuccessfully) for more lights
