The edge of the wood.
The snow has all but gone from our garden now. Just a few little patches left where it had drifted.
I took the dogs to Everdon Stubbs today which is a Woodland Trust owned wood not far from me. I was absolutely amazed at how much more snow there was! It is 4 miles away and the drifts there were up to 4' deep!
The wood is on quite a steep hill and the views from the edge are amazing - you can see for miles!
We kept to the edge to make the most of the views and also, along one side, the deepest snow for Tia (9 mth old Lab) to jump around in! She loved it!
Under all the snow there are thousands of native Bluebells hoping to flower in early to mid May. This wood is beautiful at that time and I will definitely be back then to blip! :-)
