Can you see me?

I'm looking a bit camouflaged aren't I? All the leaves are falling off the trees and they're the same colour as me. Went for my afternoon walk in the grounds of Lauriston Castle and OMG you wouldn't believe the number of squirrels that needed chasing. They were absolutely everywhere. Sometimes I had to chase four at once. …...........And I didn't catch any. Grrrr.............. Those pesky little creatures kept running up trees the minute I started chasing them.

In other news (just because my human likes to use BLIP as a diary of our life)..................... Ann has completed her tax return. Yay! She was going to do it while we were in Cornwall for six weeks because she didn't think she'd have much to do but never quite got round to it because we were so busy. She's feeling very impressed with herself.

She's also managed to register with an NHS dentist and has got an appointment for tomorrow (the appointment was a cancellation). However, now she's in 'major panic mode' because she's wondering what is wrong with the dentist for them to be taking on new patients when no one else is????  You wouldn't believe how many dentists she tried phoning in Edinburgh yesterday??  Oh and apparently a check-up is FREE. When she was registered with an NHS dentist in 'St Ives, Cornwall', she still had to pay around £22 for a check up.

…...............And when we returned from Cornwall on Monday guess what was waiting in the pile of poo post???..................... A bowel screening test. So that's been completed and popped into the post box. Amazing service considering she didn't even register with a doctor until February 2019 and the screening should be every two years. Take note, my Edinburgh friends who haven't done this. You know who you are. It's really, really, easy. Not embarrassing at all and it could save your life!!!

Before I went for my afternoon walk I had to wait in the car while Ann popped into 'Curry's' to order a new oven. She'd already spotted the one she wanted online but wanted to see it in the flesh so to speak, so went to Curry's yesterday to look at it, only to be told, they don't hold many 'double under counter ovens' in-store as they're not that popular??!! So she tried going to another branch today and was told the same thing??!! At least they're consistent!! She wasn't able to order it because they didn't know when it would next be available for delivery. Hopefully it will be soon because they have a special offer on for fitting & removal of the old oven at the moment.

The other thing that my human wanted to do today but hasn't done as yet; is arrange for a 'blind company' to come and give us some quotes for new blinds for the bathroom & kitchen (we've got cheap IKEA blinds up at the moment). She would also like some blinds for our two bedrooms. At the moment we only have curtains 'cos we're not really over-looked but apparently a largish single storey retail unit to the rear of our flats has been sold and is going to be re-developed into 4/5 storey flats. They're far enough way for no one to see Ann naked unless they're deliberately spying on her with binoculars but near enough for her to feel that she probably needs more privacy.

…..............And one more teeny, weeny little RANT............... The Covid booster jab?................... Looks like it's being pushed even further back for the 60-65 age group in Scotland, but to be honest Ann doesn't really care. She's had two jabs and it's not like she's going to mega crowded places, so she doesn't really feel that she's at risk. Possibly going on busy buses could be risky. She went on one yesterday and it was absolutely mobbed, but in Scotland masks are still mandatory and she certainly didn't feel unsafe at all.

….................And that's it for today peeps. A bit of a long BLIP I know, but we've only posted short BLIPS for the last couple of days, and you don't have to read them if you don't want to. LOL, LOL, LOL!!!
