An Spailip

Hard work in the morning then we decided to go to Skibbereen for some culture - it's Arts Week and one of the most interesting things happening is a series of large photos placed in odd places, mostly empty shop fronts or derelict walls. These have been made by a creative collective, Photo Focal, and are based on the wonderful book by Manchán Magan - Thirty Two Words for Field - in which he explores the subtle meanings of many old Irish words. It was highly impressive and enjoyable and I've recycled most of my extra pix because I couldn't decide which to chose. This goes on a bit so you might need a cuppa first, the info helpfully included pronunciation so work away: 
The main is Spailip - spaylp - a surprise kiss or a spark! Of course he did!!
