Husky Sledging - Yipee!

Tromso is our next stop - but we didn't see much of the town as we were off to the dogs!

The sky was getting darker, and it did snow while we were sledging. We had a great afternoon. We had a tour round the park and were invited to meet the dogs - all 250 of them! They were extremely friendly and just wanted petting and stroking. We also had chance to see some puppies - so incredibly cute.

We even had a talk on how the dogs are trained and how the dog teams are put together. Two female dogs are always the leaders, as they are easy to train. Younger dogs in the middle who learn from the females, and two male dogs at the back as they are stronger and have to pull the most weight. They're also inclined to follow the females too!!

The sledging was great fun, a bit bumpy, but it gave you an idea what these dogs could do.
