Ready to sew!
I have volunteered to make new aprons for the village hall. After wearing my own patchwork one, which I'd had as a gift, it was suggested that it would be fun to have some for Saturday coffee mornings. I have lots of remnants in my stash so said I'd give them a go. I found some perfectly good, thick white tablecloths in the community shop for backing so I'm up and running. Each of the aprons needs 45 squares for the skirt and bib and then 9 smaller ones for the pocket. I have now cut out enough for 3. It took a couple of days to do the cutting to have them all the same size and then to match up some colours. I knew I was hoarding saving those scraps for a worthwhile cause!
