Wild, wide beaches of Norfolk
It did not rain until late last night so we had a wonderful day of beach walks. This beach is Holkham Beach, part of the estate of the 7th Earl of Leicester. Having parked the car we set off on the boardwalk through the dunes and pine forest out across an area of seathrift and other hardy sea plantings to miles of sand lapped by the North sea. The sun shone and the wind blew. I love this beach and am hoping that the first extra qualifies for repetition in the wide Wednesday challenge.
Later we went along to Moreton Quay, labyrinth of muddy creeks at low tide.
A very hearty game stew for supper ended a great day just as the rain came in.
