Cupcake

Another day of editing and Zoom meetings...I'd hoped to get out for a walk in the gap between the Zoom meetings, but the gap coincided with some heavy rain, so instead I made the first experimental batch of cupcakes for the wedding - Lemon and Blueberry topped with Lemon Butter Icing. 

The cakes worked really well - the decorating was less polished, partly because I didn't have quite the right sort of piping nozzle. I randomly popped three bluberries on each one and spritzed them with some edible gold powder. I'd planned to do something more ornate for the wedding, but when I sent this picture to Lizzy, she thought they'd go perfectly with their colour scheme. 

Four more flavours to trial over the next couple of weeks...
