The Edge
A red admiral appeared on our lounge carpet today, and didn't appear to be at all perturbed by my presence. Having locked the dogs out I then scooped it up on a piece of paper to return to the wild (just as Mark Thomas did by pure chance in his recent show). It didn't fly away then remained on our front door way for about an hour; I had to leave it open ajar.
I guess it was on it's last legs, so wondered if it might've preferred to stay in our home.
PS we won't be using our recent decorator again - very messy and did a poor job on our front door.

Great pre - going out music whilst I was at University.
Divine Insurgency
The vicar agreed to attend a meeting about the reduction to one service a month at our church (whilst making it unnecessarily difficult for any other lay preacher provide an alternative service). I'd decided a while back to be more diplomatic, and he thanked me at the end for being less vocal. We progressed a little (but still way behind where we should be). As usual he rambled on about irrelevant points in unnecessary detail, and avoided acknowledging or answering many reasonable and relevant questions. Having said we needed to keep to an hour I left rather tired after 2 hours. He'd still rather place puritanical CofE dogma and control, over the success of our church. We did make some progress however and hopefully bit by bit he will realise this,
