Toy box - What to do?

We have this toy box. 12 years ago Mike built it and it is 1 metro x 1 metre x 1 metre. Then the three oldest kids ( the youngest hadn't been born then) each painted a side. I love the box - It is a real piece of our history. They have spent there lives playing in it around it and stored all there toys in it.. It has been a cave, A cubby and has been the centre of endless games. Now it is just shoved in the corner and it is used to put sports equipment in to keep it out of the way. But it is so big and takes up so much room. but we don't want to throw it away.

So I am in a pickle - What do you do with something that you love but is totally impractical and has no value except to a soppy mother.
