Australian skink

Back on the 11th of December last year, I blipped a skink with only 3 feet. This one today was in pristine condition, ready to hibernate as winter approaches.

They are beautiful little reptiles, with a beautiful coloured skin patterning on their back similar to that of some snakes.

It is of course a common Aussie garden skink, and we see dozens of them in our garden in the warmer times of the year. This one was out trying to catch a little warmth on what is a dull sort of a day.

The common Aussie Garden Skink in our garden normally lives up to 2-3 years, that is if not captured before hand by our cat Rani!

Snake like skin!
