Applewood smoked bacon

Normally I buy the Hickory smoked bacon, but I could not resist buying the package of pepper crusted Applewood smoked bacon that was on sale.

Pretty good stuff, except it did not crisp up as well as the bacon that I usually buy.

I normally cook my bacon on a cookie tray in the oven at 350 F for 25 - 35 minutes depending on the thickness of the bacon. Set the timer and walk away!
