Barcelona
Today we fulfilled a long held ambition to see the Sagrada Familia (see extra) in Barcelona. Not cheap but one of the advantages of the need to now book (due to Covid) is that the crowds are more regulated. We had a about 6 bours to spend in Barcelona so we made sure we didn't try to do too much. The cathedral is impressive partly because of its sheer scale and when it is finished, I think I'm right in saying it'll become the tallest church in the world (some 560 feet). Not that scale alone is the standout feature, it is also mind boggling in the detail and symbolism that the architects/builders have gone to.
My blip today however is a detail from the park Guell, another creation of Gaudi's who uses lots of ceramics to decorate his work.
