BLACK-THROATED DIVER AND FANS

I cleaned the oven (hooray - BIG tick off the list), headed out for some shopping then took a turn around the Marina where I spotted a whole lot of twitchers across the other side (some in extra). I couldn't see what they were so intent on until this popped up. I had to ask one of them, when they came over to my side of the water, what sort of Diver it is. Paradoxically, it has a white throat in the winter, but I think birds are just out to confuse us.
