Marital Bliss

Yep, here we are in all our glory, me and MrsP, in celebration of our anniversary day • After a 29 year engagement, we married on this day 8 years ago. It was a sunny and unexpectedly warm afternoon as we shared vows on the beach with three dear friends by our side. It was low tide at the time which now gives us a kick when we see “our spot” disappear at high tide :) • We’re celebrating with takeout from our favorite local pub, and will indulge in cake for dessert later. There will always be cake because on the day of, when MrsP stopped to pickup the wedding cake she had ordered two weeks prior, there wasn’t a cake. They had no record of the cake. There was to be NO cake at our reception of five! I remember telling MrsP that we couldn’t let it spoil our day although we fretted about it the whole drive to York. Thankfully, there is a happy ending. At the Inn where we had dinner, and stayed that night, they provided a cake, and it was unexpectedly perfect, and is now a fond memory of our special day • Love surely does make the world go round…as does cake :)
