Impact

Fantastic work by Jack Lowe using wet collodion to photograph life boat crews around the UK. The images are printed on thin paper and pasted directly onto the walls of the beach underpass at Colwyn Bay, which creates a strange merging of image and environment.

This is part of the Northern Eye Photography Festival, a brilliant biennial event that we've visited with students in previous years and is always a great inspiration and talking point.
