Bay the colour of the Yarra

Announced today that our hard lockdown will end on Friday, with a bunch of restrictions easing earlier than anticipated as vaccination rates are going up quickly. Next weekend… any or all of: out after 9pm, more than 15km away, in someone else’s house with ten other socially awkward recluses (is that a tautology? What is the correct plural of recluse?)… As much as I’m busting to do all that, I’m also on ward service from Thursday, so there’ll probably be more N95s and goggles than fun times until the weekend after.
Had to pass up a family catch up in the park this morning because E was snotty. Two epic nose blows after he woke up, which looked like we were going to be in for a fun few days, but then nothing more, thankfully. Still, wasn’t taking any chances ahead of Wednesday for S.
Got out to the beach this afternoon. Water pretty murky after all the rain, but a swim was just the thing.
In other news, A did her ballet grading via Zoom, without knowing any of the dances. Long story, but she handled it super well, and is fairly chuffed that she gets a medal for passing the pre-primary level.
