Tomorrow's task
Well, one of them, at least. After a search, the curtain material was purchased before Christmas. Then there was a period of doubt when alternative fabrics were sought and assessed, which took several weeks. Next, having decided on the original choice, came the process of selecting a suitable curtain maker - one who would be able and be prepared to work to a precise specification. In the end the one chosen was more able to advise us! So, while the curtains were being made up, a pole had to be chosen. What a choice and how complex, what with passing brackets and rings, adjustable options, decorative or plain and a host of finials to choose from. It used to be so much simpler in the old days!
The curtains were ready last week and still no pole. So, eventually a decision was made yesterday, the order placed and delivered in under 24 hours! That leaves a day to fix the pole and fit the curtains before the Easter guests arrive. Should be plenty of time, apart from the 101 other things still needing done. Looks like it may be a busy day!
