towering

I only recently found these stairs, a strange architecture that seems to be somewhat unused and hidden. I very much like it.

Wander into town to get coffee and salami. Stopped in the Nicolson's Cafe. I very vividly remember going there with a friend in the late nineties, drinking a bottle of wine and watching the world go past which seemed ridiculously indulgent then. I never went to the Chinese Buffet that occupied the place for a long time afterwards. I very much liked Spoon. The latest incarnation is a bit meh - it reminds me a bit of a university canteen. Ah well, curiosity stilled.

Looks like the old tram will soon be joined to the new bits (see extra).
