Shaken Not Stirred
My Dear Princess and Dear Friends,
Today I was very excited to be taking Caro on a proper date. We do this so very rarely and it has to be something special.
As you probably know, Caro loves big action movies; especially James Bond so "No Time To Die" was an excellent excuse for a date. I booked us into the cute little bespoke cinema "The Shoreline" in Waikenae (10 minutes away from Paraparaumu) and hired a taxi and put on my best clobber and bought wine and snackies and got us a couch in the cinema.
The whole thing.
And - the - film - was - CRAP.
I think at the time we were relatively "meh" about it. But afterward we both picked it apart and realised it was worse than we thought.
Disappointing.
Nevertheless, we managed to have good fun anyway. It's just nice being out and about with my glamorous wife. I'm sure I get looks from people wondering how an old fart like me managed to get young woman like her* but I do not care.
Afterward, yesterday's headache came surging back and sent me to bed early. But for a few hours there it was like 1999 and we were on one of our first dates going to see "The World Is Not Enough" together again.
