A Decomposing Pear

I was all set to publish another mushroom photo - a different one from that of a few days ago, but also in our garden - when I found this (almost ex-) pear in the shed. Others I have put in there to store and ripen are OK but this looked so characterful (for want of a better word) that I decided that a photo of it for today's blip was a 'must'!
