Le sens de la fête

Big day today! It was finally the inauguration of the Maison du Citoyen, which should have happened in April 2020. Naturally there were speeches, but our mayor Serge couldn't possibly envisage such an event without live music and a buffet. So after the speeches everyone had a quick look round the immaculately restored house, which now houses the library and will also be used for social activities. And yes, a photo exhibition.

In the square, the old faithful Santandrea band, who have been coming here for 30 years, kicked off and we all got stuck into wine and charcuterie. Serge was persuaded to give us a song, his familiar showstopper Les Feuilles Mortes (blip). And then there was a generalised singsong, finishing, of course, with Occitan anthem Se Canto. The last of us wandered home at about 4 pm. The album is here.
